You’ll be up to your ears in fun with Avalanche! Avalanche is a 2022 Storyteller Overland Classic MODE 4×4 adventure van. This van will take you and your friends on the adventure of a lifetime. All you have to do is dream big and then set yourself on cruise control.
One of the hottest new vans to hit the market, Storyteller Overland’s approach throughout the entire process of designing, testing and manufacturing the MODE series has been to deliver an adventure ready vehicle that is… Safe, Simple, Fun, Flexible, Rugged, and Ready to Go at all times!
Avalanche is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144″ chassis. This van is perfect for long weekends or long road trips in any type of weather. You’ll have both air conditioning and heat in the main cab, depending on the season. The awning provides shade from the sun or cover from the rain, and the built in LED lights under the awning mean you can linger outside long after the sun has gone down.
The kitchen has all the modern conveniences of home, including a sink, fridge and stove. You even get a microwave (a relatively rare find in a camper van). Automotive graded lithium batteries provide all the power you’ll need, without ever needing a noisy generator. The main bed sleeps two adults, and the GrooveLounge bench seat easily converts into a bed that can sleep one adult or two small kiddos.
A cassette toilet can be used inside the van or outside, and the same is true of the shower. You could opt to shower inside the van or outside after a long, hot hike. Hot water is yours on demand. (*Please note: during the colder months this van is winterized and therefore only available for “dry” camping with no running water to the shower or sink.)
Want to really get away from it all? The automotive grade lithium power system can keep you off grid for longer than most vans without the noise and hassles of a generator. The rugged extruded aluminum roof rack and ladder system will be able to hold onto your gear while you make your way to your destination, or you can store things in the “garage” inside the van under the bed.

All vans are considered “road trip ready.” Whether you are flying in from out of town or looking to explore your own backyard, all you really need to do is stop for groceries before hitting the road. All cookware and tableware is included, as is bedding and a wide array of camping gear. Pick Up and Drop Off
Rentals are Calculated on a 24-hour Basis: The rental period is generally considered to be 24 hours. If you pick up the van at 10 am, you’ll be expected to return it around 10 am. Most van owners can accommodate requests for a few extra hours at $20/hour. Alternatively, if you want to pick up in the morning and drop off in the evening, simply select the optional half day add-on when completing your reservation.
Pick Up and Drop Off Time: There is no set pick up and drop off time. You’ll make arrangements suited to your needs and schedule with the van’s owner. You can indicate your preferred pick up and drop off time when completing your reservation; final arrangements will be confirmed with the van’s owner.

Cancellation Policy
Standard cancellation policy: You can reschedule your trip one time in the same van with no penalty up to 48 hours prior to the rental. Requests to reschedule a trip a second time will incur a 5% rescheduling fee. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 14 days prior to the rental. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will receive a refund for 50% of the rental fee. Cancellations must be made in writing. We are unable to offer refunds for shortened trips if for some reason (e.g. weather, change in schedule) you return the vehicle early. If we cancel the reservation you will receive a full refund.
One-way trip cancellation policy: One-way trips cannot be rescheduled. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 30 days prior to the rental. If you cancel 15 – 29 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a full refund on the remaining reservation line items, less a 5% service fee. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a refund for 50% of the remaining rental fees. Cancellations must be made in writing.
