Pardon our French, but Mr. Patou is freakin’ fabulous! This Storyteller Overland Classic MODE 4×4 camper van in San Francisco, California is ready to roam anywhere with you and your crew.
Mr. Patou is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144″ chassis. It’s safe, easy to drive, and the perfect vehicle for road trips in any type of weather. This family-friendly van seats up to four passengers. The main bed sleeps two adults, and the GrooveLounge bench seat easily converts into a bed that can sleep one additional adult or two small kiddos.
You’ll have both air conditioning and heat in the main cab for climate control at your fingertips. Automotive grade lithium batteries provide all the power you’ll need, without ever requiring a noisy generator. Hot water is available for a nice warm shower either inside the van or outside – a real luxury after a long day of adventure. Plus, a portable cassette toilet is available as an optional add-on.
The kitchen has all the modern conveniences of home, including a sink, fridge and portable induction cooktop. There’s even a microwave which is a relatively rare find in a camper van. The exterior awning provides shade from the sun or cover from the rain, and the built in LED lights mean you can linger outside long after the sun has gone down.
Want to really get away from it all? The Volta power system allows you to go off grid if that’s what you’re into. And the rugged extruded aluminum roof rack and ladder system will be able to hold onto your gear while you make your way to your destination. Or store things in the “garage” inside the van under the bed.

All vans are considered “road trip ready.” Whether you are flying in from out of town or looking to explore your own backyard, all you really need to do is stop for groceries before hitting the road. All cookware and tableware is included, as is bedding and a wide array of camping gear. Pick Up and Drop Off
Rentals are Calculated on a 24-hour Basis: The rental period is generally considered to be 24 hours. If you pick up the van at 10 am, you’ll be expected to return it around 10 am. Most van owners can accommodate requests for a few extra hours at $20/hour. Alternatively, if you want to pick up in the morning and drop off in the evening, simply select the optional half day add-on when completing your reservation.
Pick Up and Drop Off Time: There is no set pick up and drop off time. You’ll make arrangements suited to your needs and schedule with the van’s owner. You can indicate your preferred pick up and drop off time when completing your reservation; final arrangements will be confirmed with the van’s owner.

Cancellation Policy
Standard cancellation policy: You can reschedule your trip one time in the same van with no penalty up to 48 hours prior to the rental. Requests to reschedule a trip a second time will incur a 5% rescheduling fee. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 14 days prior to the rental. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will receive a refund for 50% of the rental fee. Cancellations must be made in writing. We are unable to offer refunds for shortened trips if for some reason (e.g. weather, change in schedule) you return the vehicle early. If we cancel the reservation you will receive a full refund.
One-way trip cancellation policy: One-way trips cannot be rescheduled. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 30 days prior to the rental. If you cancel 15 – 29 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a full refund on the remaining reservation line items, less a 5% service fee. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a refund for 50% of the remaining rental fees. Cancellations must be made in writing.
