Shadowfax is a Storyteller Overland Classic MODE adventure van. This van will take you and your adult friends on the expedition of a lifetime. With a 7-night minimum, all you have to do is dream big, saddle up, and your trip with Shadowfax is sure to be one for the books!

Shadowfax is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144″ chassis. This van is perfect for long weekends or long road trips in any type of weather. Among its many other other magical qualities, Shadowfax is a cold weather beast in the winter with a built-in heater and can cool off with the touch of a button with AC for warmer days. The awning provides shade from the sun or cover from the rain, and the built-in LED lights under the awning mean you can linger outside long after the sun has gone down.
The kitchen has all the modern conveniences of home, including a sink, fridge, and stove. You even get a microwave (relatively rare in most camper vans). Automotive-grade lithium batteries provide all the power you’ll need, without ever needing a noisy generator. The main bed sleeps two adults, and the back bench seat turns into a bed that can sleep one adult.
A cassette toilet can be used inside the van or outside, and the same is true of the shower. You could opt to shower inside the van or outside after a long day of exploring and hot water is yours on demand.
Want to really get away from it all? Add on a tent and two-person sleeping bag and sleep under the stars! If during your trip you prefer to ride a different type of steed, there’s room enough inside to store two bikes. The rugged extruded aluminum roof rack and ladder system will be able to hold onto your gear while you gallop down the road to your destination, or you can store things in the “garage” inside the van under the bed. You don’t have to be a wizard to make magic with Shadowfax and you’ll have an epic tale to tell.

All vans are considered “road trip ready.” Whether you are flying in from out of town or looking to explore your own backyard, all you really need to do is stop for groceries before hitting the road. All cookware and tableware is included, as is bedding and a wide array of camping gear. Pick Up and Drop Off
Rentals are Calculated on a 24-hour Basis: The rental period is generally considered to be 24 hours. If you pick up the van at 10 am, you’ll be expected to return it around 10 am. Most van owners can accommodate requests for a few extra hours at $20/hour. Alternatively, if you want to pick up in the morning and drop off in the evening, simply select the optional half day add-on when completing your reservation.
Pick Up and Drop Off Time: There is no set pick up and drop off time. You’ll make arrangements suited to your needs and schedule with the van’s owner. You can indicate your preferred pick up and drop off time when completing your reservation; final arrangements will be confirmed with the van’s owner.

Cancellation Policy
Standard cancellation policy: You can reschedule your trip one time in the same van with no penalty up to 48 hours prior to the rental. Requests to reschedule a trip a second time will incur a 5% rescheduling fee. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 14 days prior to the rental. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will receive a refund for 50% of the rental fee. Cancellations must be made in writing. We are unable to offer refunds for shortened trips if for some reason (e.g. weather, change in schedule) you return the vehicle early. If we cancel the reservation you will receive a full refund.
One-way trip cancellation policy: One-way trips cannot be rescheduled. You can cancel your reservation for a full refund, less a 5% service fee, up to 30 days prior to the rental. If you cancel 15 – 29 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a full refund on the remaining reservation line items, less a 5% service fee. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the rental, you will forfeit 100% of the one-way fee and receive a refund for 50% of the remaining rental fees. Cancellations must be made in writing.
